Crotty/Legal Bruny Island 64km Ultra and Relay

Where: Bruny Island, less than an hour south of Hobart, including a 15 minute ride by vehicular ferry. This race is the southernmost ultra race in Australia.

Famous for: White wallabies, wind-ravaged rock sculptures, convict-built lighthouse and signs of ancient aboriginal culture. First sighted by Abel Tasman in 1642 the isalnd has an abundance of wildlife and is noted as a bird batcher’s paradise. It is really two islands, joined by an isthus known as “The Neck” see above picture.

Status: Road / trail run of approximately 64 km with a team option.
